Day trip. Out the door at 5:15 to meet a ferry reservation. We went with the future bride and groom to look at possible wedding venues. It was surprisingly sunny and warmer than expected. A full day, a happy and relaxing day by the sea. There is so much beauty of October on this island. Then a ride home late afternoon, in time for dinner with Wave who was happy to have us. Storm coming, so a day trip planned for tomorrow will be rescheduled. No swim today, but I look forward to the chance for one tomorrow. The milkweed in a field at the edge of West Tisbury Great Pond is a most memorable moment of today. The milkweed next summer will be in a different stage of development. Tight green sealed pouches will emerge after flowering.
